Body Wraps Pittsburgh | Sewickley Spa
When you think of the spa, what comes to mind? There's relaxation, luxury and rejuvenation. Most people think of massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. But there’s another offering that doesn’t get as much attention as it deserves—the elusive body wrap.

There are several types of body wraps, each with its own purpose. In this post, we will explain the difference between seaweed botanical wraps, cellulite reduction wraps and paraffin body wraps.

Seaweed Botanical Wraps

It’s winter, which means it’s cold outside, and the heater is most likely running constantly inside your home. While this heat feels amazing, it can wreak havoc on your skin—causing it to dry and crack.

The purpose of the seaweed botanical wrap is to address issues such as this. It nourishes, softens and tones your skin. At Sewickley Spa, you’ll be wrapped from head to foot, and we’ll massage your head and face. You’ll be a cocoon of rejuvenation as the detoxifying agents purify your body!

Cellulite Reduction Wraps

Ah, cellulite. The kryptonite of anyone yearning to wear shorts or a bathing suit. While those little dimples are natural, it’s understandable if they bother you. You’ve worked hard for your body (and vice versa), so you get to decide how you want it to look!

That being said, our cellulite reduction wrap provides smoother, tighter and less dimpled skin. We use Egyptian techniques to wrap your body—and of course, provide a much deserved head and face massage. How exactly does it work? The wrap speeds up your metabolism and releases waste, excess fluids and toxins.

However, make sure you avoid alcohol and caffeine for 48 hours after this treatment!

Paraffin Body Wraps

The focus of this wrap is to experience pure luxury—and to also help with dry skin! You’ll become a cocoon of relaxation, swaddled in paraffin and cotton and wrapped. As with the other wraps, we will massage your head and face while your skin and senses are soothed.

Lie down, relax, and let the bliss begin!
