DIY Skincare Tips | Sewickley Spa
Just because you’re in between visits to the spa doesn’t mean skincare stops. If you want to keep your skin glowing and at its best in between visits, check out our simple DIY treatments below!

*Note: As with any DIY product, conduct a patch test on your wrist to ensure you don’t experience any adverse effects to the ingredients.

Hydrating Avocado Mark for Your Face

What You’ll Need:

  • ½ ripe avocado

  • 1 tsp. plain yogurt

  • 1 tsp. honey

  • 1-2 tsp. virgin olive oil

First, mash the avocado to remove any large chunks. Mix-in the remaining ingredients and blend until a uniform paste forms. After application, leave the mask on for about 10-15 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water and enjoy your instantly softer and smoother skin.

Exfoliating Sugar Scrub for Your Whole Body

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 cup granulated white or brown sugar

  • ½ cup olive or coconut oil

  • Essential oils of your choice (optional)

This DIY is super simple. All you have to do is mix all the ingredients together and then store the mixture in an airtight container. That’s it, you’re done. Use the mixture as needed while in the shower and say hello to silky, smooth skin.

Softening Cinnamon Mask for Your Feet

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 tbsp cinnamon

  • ½ cup warm olive oil

  • 4 drops lemon essential oil

In a bowl, combine the cinnamon and lemon oil with the warm olive oil. Blend together and then proceed by covering both feet in a thick layer of the mask. Cover your feet with plastic wrap in order to seal in moisture and let the mask sit for 10-15 minutes. Wash off and experience beautiful and supple skin.
